Vanessa M. D’Souza and Julia M. FitzPatrick have become equity partners

GARVEY, SMITH & NEHRBASS, PATENT ATTORNEYS, L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Vanessa M. D’Souza and Julia M. FitzPatrick have become equity partners in the firm. Our firm is the largest boutique patent law firm in Louisiana with our practice areas focusing solely on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks and copyrights, with all seven of our attorneys being registered patent attorneys. Vanessa has been with the firm since 2007 while she was still at Tulane Law School. Vanessa was born and raised in New Orleans and attended Ben Franklin High School. She earned a degree in Neuroscience at Tulane University. Julia joined the firm in 2011 after getting a law degree at the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. Julia was born and raised in Covington and attended St. Scholastica Academy High School. She earned a degree in Genetics at the University of Georgia. Vanessa and Julia have been non-equity partners since 2018.
